How I picked them

I kept apps whose own pages describe adult companions with images or voice, the features people mean when they search for a sexy AI girlfriend. For each I read the pricing page, terms, privacy policy, help center and US App Store listing where one exists. I did not create accounts, so nothing here describes using these apps. What should an adult check before choosing an AI girlfriend app?

The rules. Ads and guidelines can disagree, and the guidelines are what the company says it enforces.
The age check. It keeps minors off the platform and tells you whether you may be asked for a selfie or ID.
Privacy and training. Kindroid explains that it cannot offer end-to-end encryption because its systems must read chats to reply. Some policies also let the company train models on your data.
The meter. Most apps charge for images, video and voice with coins, tokens or credits on top of the plan.
Refunds. Several apps refuse refunds once you start using the service, so use the free tier first.

The 6 apps, checked one by one

1. OurDream.ai: the most complete package, metered by coins

OurDream's prohibited content policy requires every created character to be an adult and judges age on the whole picture, not a stated number. It also bans real people, bestiality and non-consent. Its help center lists $19.99 a month with 1,000 dreamcoins at once and 1,000 a month after, or $119.88 a year with 2,000 at once, then 1,000 a month.

Images, video and voice run on those coins. The coin guide lists 10 coins per 2 standard images, 5 per in-chat image, 50 a minute for voice calls and 100 per 5 seconds of standard video. Standard chat costs subscribers nothing, so 1,000 coins covers about 200 standard images or 50 seconds of video a month. Free users pay 1 coin per message, need a subscription for images and video, and can buy coins only while subscribed. The free starting balance is not published.

Every account confirms its age at sign-up. Where local law requires more, an outside provider, Go.cam or AgeVerif, runs a face estimate, selfie or ID check and returns only a pass or fail. The weak points are privacy and refunds. The home page FAQ promises end-to-end encryption, yet the privacy policy describes encryption at rest and in transit and lists training its AI models among the uses of your data. Its privacy summary says third-party AI providers process the messages you send. The help center refuses refunds once more than 25% of a product is used, images and videos blur if you cancel, and disputes go to individual arbitration. Our OurDream AI review covers each point.

2. Candy.ai: pictures on a small token allowance

Candy's subscription page sells Premium with 18+ images and video, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month. Checked from the UK, it showed £13.99 a month after a £9.99 first month, or £47.88 for a year. Its home page says tokens are spent across voice, chat, images and video, with top-ups any time, and its terms say leftover tokens expire when a subscription ends.

Its underage policy describes a self-declared age gate, with further checks where local law requires them. The home page says data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or newer. Its privacy notice says chats may be de-identified to train its models, with possible human review, and that data is usually kept for three years after your last activity. Refunds need a request within 24 hours of paying, with 20 tokens or fewer used, by card only. EU and UK buyers also get a 14-day withdrawal right.

3. Nomi: the easiest free start, thin on policy

Nomi's home page says it is built to stay unfiltered and uncensored, and its US App Store listing rates it 18+ and lists sexual content or nudity among its content notes. It is free to start with no card. The listing shows a Standard Plan at $15.99 a month or $99.99 a year, a Launch Plan at $9.99 a month, and credit packs from 40 credits for $4.99 to 1,800 for $99.99. Selfies and voice calls are advertised, but the pages I read do not say what a credit buys.

Its terms say Nomi asks for your age and intends to add age verification. Its home page says chats are anonymized and not shared with third-party sites, and its privacy policy says it will not sell personal data. Neither says whether chats are encrypted or used for training. All payments are non-refundable, including for lack of use.

4. Kindroid: the plainest privacy policy

Kindroid's moderation guidelines, updated October 9, 2026, call it truly unfiltered and say its safety system does not police fictional scenarios, fantasy or NSFW roleplay. The system targets three red lines, which are imminent self-harm, real-world harm to others and sexual content involving minors.

Age checks are layered. A paid subscription counts as verification. Free accounts can be flagged by a behavioral age estimate, and a flagged user must subscribe or pass a Yoti selfie or ID check. Its legal page says chats are encrypted at rest and in transit, states plainly that it is not end-to-end encrypted, and lets staff review excerpts flagged by its safety systems. It does not say chats train models, though its terms let it use de-identified content for any purpose.

New accounts get a one-time preview of 50 messages, 5 selfies and 5,000 audio credits. The App Store lists $15.99 a month or $159.99 a year, selfie packs from 50 for $6.99 and 500k audio credits for $14.99. Its help center says buying on the web is usually cheaper. Kindroid does not refund fees already paid.

5. CrushOn: cheap text, strict on images

CrushOn's pricing page is titled as a no-filter NSFW chat, yet its community guidelines tell users to avoid depicting explicit sexual activity in imagery and list pornography among banned illegal activities. Implied activity is allowed in context. Read those rules before paying for pictures.

Free accounts get 100 message credits a month, and free chat history is deleted after 7 days of inactivity. Standard costs $5.99 a month or $58.88 a year for 2,000 credits, with plans up to $199.99 a month. Voice messages and custom voice slots appear on its plans, and Diamonds pay for creator content. Its terms ask you to affirm you are 18 or older, and other checks are not published. Its privacy policy, last modified March 6, 2025, says personal information may be used to train its models. Fees, credits and Diamonds are non-refundable except where its policy or the law says otherwise.

6. SpicyChat: the clearest adult rules, pictures on top tiers

SpicyChat's guidelines allow adult chatbots if they are labeled NSFW, require every character to be over 18 and ban photorealistic images that could pass for real people. Its age checks are the most specific here. In France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states, a third-party partner checks a video selfie with an ID fallback, and adult content stays locked until you pass.

Since September 8, 2026, plans cost $5.95, $19.95 or $29.95 a month. Conversation images need True Supporter or I'm All In, and text-to-speech needs I'm All In, so pictures start at $19.95 and voice at $29.95. The privacy policy I read is dated May 4, 2023 and says nothing on encryption or training. Fees are non-refundable once you log in, with no partial-month refunds, and disputes go to binding arbitration.

Red flags in adult AI girlfriend apps

These patterns came up across the six policies, and each is a reason to slow down:

A marketing claim stronger than the policy. A home page that promises end-to-end encryption while the privacy policy describes encryption at rest and in transit is the clearest example here.
A meter with no price list. Credits sold in packs without a published cost per image or minute make the real bill impossible to predict.
A refund window that closes on first use. Several apps refuse refunds once you log in or use a small share of your coins or tokens.
An old privacy policy on a fast-changing product. A policy dated 2023 on an app that changed its prices in 2026 may not describe what happens to your chats today.
Adult marketing with rules that say otherwise. If the ads promise no filter and the guidelines ban explicit imagery, trust the guidelines.
Any app that allows real people or under-18 characters. All six ban both. Skip any app that does not.
